The first group has just arrived back from Providence with some amazing experiences that will surely remain with them for the rest of their lives. For three of them ,it was their first saltwater flats experience and they now have an impossible challenge to find a location that will better Providence. Numerous GT’s we’re landed, with many double hook-ups happening as the 2 men teams cast at the packs of kingfish hunting on the flats. The GT s we’re not at all selective and aggressively attacked whatever fly was cast in their direction. On the neap tide the impressive schools of bonefish were stalked and consistently fooled with crabs and gotcha’s. The bump-head parrot fish however proved to be a handful as none were landed causing much frustration amongst those who hooked one. The Holy Grail , the elusive permit, lived up to it’s name and refused to eat any of the crab patterns that were presented to them. Many other species were landed , among these were sailfish ,bohar snappers and barracudas. The second week is drawing to a close and cannot wait to listen to the crazy reports from the returning anglers.
The 2014 season is fast approaching and the available dates are 5-12 March 4 rods,12-19 March sold out,19-26 March 8 rods.
